Another eventful year has come to an end and we can look back on 12 months that seem to have flown by. But a lot has happened. Both worldwide and on a smaller scale here. While the media looks at the global changes, let's take a look at the developments here.
The team
While 2022 was still a year in which Corona dominated social life, this year we were able to say goodbye to these restrictions and use the opportunity to weld the team, which had gained some new members, closer together. For this purpose, a workshop was organized and carried out under the leadership of Mirco Hitzigrath from the Upstalsboom team.
The findings from this seminar opened up completely new perspectives and approaches for us, which valued the cohesion in the team and thus positively influenced the work. This year May offered the chance to take new photos and we had a really cool session at the GVZ
Querformat With the photographer's creativity and her eye for team dynamics, we got great photos that you can also find on our homepage. The fun that the colleagues all had is unmistakable in the pictures. Maybe you've already noticed: our homepage has been modernized a little. The team has grown and this gave us an opportunity to take a look at the individual pages and give them a new layout. This work is not yet completely completed and will be continued on an ongoing basis, as global and regional influences mean a constant further development of the OCS. This should then also be reflected on the homepage. We warmly invite you to accompany us on our journey and be inspired by our ideas.
The OCS forwarding company and the environment
Climate protection is on everyone’s lips and we are also aware of our responsibility as a logistics provider. That's why we a campaign to help bees in Germany and this idea was a complete success.
We sent over 1,300 packages of flower seeds, on the one hand so that the recipients get a beautiful view and on the other hand so that the bees also receive a small source of food from these flowers. The flower seeds we brought were chosen to provide a rich supply of food for more than just 2 weeks. Some flowers could be admired as early as June, while others did not reveal their splendor until the end of September. This meant that the bees and other insects could always come to the flower box or bed and find flowers there that provided them with nectar. The honey, which is obtained from the work of bees, was also the reason for our Advent campaign this year, because we gave away different types of honey to our customers. The demand for it was pleasingly high, so we took up this idea and considered it on a larger scale for next year. Because if we can plant flowers, then we can also plant trees. We already proved this on November 25th. when we helped, together with the B-Native association, to plant 900 trees in a field in Weyhe. For every review our customers gave us on Google, we donated a tree to be planted in Mexico and also donated another tree to support the local flora.
As promised, we planted these trees in the form of red oaks, beeches and German oaks. Our goal for 2024 is to be able to plant 5,000 trees in October and we really hope for your support. Outlook for 2024
Another project for us is to offer ClimatePartner What exactly this will look like would go too far at this point. But we'll keep you updated here! Promised!
We are all very excited about the new year, are looking forward to #frictionlesslogistics , to perhaps being able to process your request and until then wish you a happy new year and all of us much success, health and happiness for 2024.
