We would like to introduce you to our Dispohund Bax for the today's “Colleague Hund” campaign day. BAX enriches our team every day with its presence and always ensures a good mood for OCS's Eastern European experts.

Bax, English bulldog and faithful companion from our Michael Braun for 6 years, can not only be found in our office for the day of action today. Scientific studies have been proving this for a long time - dogs are good for the working atmosphere. For this reason, the German Animal Welfare Association launched the " Colleague Hund " campaign day, which takes place again on June 25, 2015. We do not officially participate this year, but I would like to take this opportunity and introduce Bax, our disposed and his tasks in our office.

Bax probably wouldn't even mind staying home during the day. But he and the majority of the OCS team find his presence in the office much nicer. He's now pretty much part of the team. If Bax isn't there, then something is simply missing. However, this is really rare. Bax has been the most reliable employee in the team at OCS since the beginning, because he has a whopping zero days of absence and he never takes vacation!

But it's not just the fact that he's never sick that sets him apart. He also ensures that our team stays healthy. Dogs don't go to the normal toilet, at least Bax loves the green meadow to do his business. However, going for walks a lot is not his thing. He therefore prefers to do a lap around the company building in Stuhr for his business, preferably accompanied by an employee from our Eastern European team. In this way, it helps ensure that at least his or her companion gets away from the workplace and out into the fresh air. Bax doesn't like bad weather any more than we humans do, which is why he always wants to get back quickly.

You could say Bax is our most popular employee in the office, even though he doesn't even shower in the morning, let alone brush his teeth - he's a dog after all. Punctuality depends very much on his owner, because Bax doesn't have a driver's license and the journey on foot is simply too long for him. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to use him as a vacation replacement for our dispatchers, although he would be ideally suited for this without any statutory vacation entitlement. We're still working on it, but it will probably be difficult to implement in the long term because he doesn't speak Polish, Russian or any other Eastern European language. But who knows… 😉

He clearly bears the title "most popular employee". However, what we cannot say from him is that it is one of the most hardworking employees. As reliable as it is, it is just as tired. Most of the time he lies lazy on his favorite place by the window and chills. What does he dream?

"Hmmmm, Polish Kabanosy"

Bax ensures a good mood not only through his demand for exercise, but also through his communication skills. As I said, he doesn't speak a lot of languages. Nevertheless, he is right in the middle of many of the conversations that take place in our office and, with his expressive gestures, does his part to lighten up the conversation. We have not yet been able to determine what his core competencies are in the area of Eastern European transport. But we think he would like to go to Poland first to get to know the delicious sausage specialties there. But he probably wouldn't have anything against Hungarian salami either. If you are interested, we will be happy to keep you up to date.

"I prefer to shout with my colleagues about Polish sausage"

With his great thirst for fresh water, he also reminds our dispatchers to drink enough fluids themselves. His bowl has to be filled twice a day, otherwise Bax gets in a bad mood. We really appreciate Bax's presence and are happy that he always keeps us happy in the office, despite what can sometimes be very stressful work. In addition to sausage specialties, he also enjoys rock-hard rolls - perhaps unusual for a dog, but if it's good for him, then he should have them. We hope that we have not only told you a little more about Bax, but also explained that the OCS team is extremely fond of animals. You will soon find out more about our other animal employees, namely Japanese Koi carps.
