Like every year on March 8th, International Women's Day is celebrated worldwide. There was already a women's day in ancient Rome. Even slaves were given a few hours off that day and given gifts. Today, in some countries this day is even an official holiday dedicated exclusively to the well-being of women.

At the 2nd International Conference of Socialist Women in Copenhagen in 1910, the German women's rights activist Klara Zetkin insisted that March 8th be dedicated to Women's Day for Equality. It has been celebrated annually on March 8th since 1913. Even the UN General Assembly recognized International Women's Day as International Women's Day in 1977.

If in Germany this day seems like any other, in many other countries it is an official holiday. In Europe it is a public holiday in Ukraine, Russia, Serbia and Belarus. As with many other holidays in Russia, if March 8th falls on a Sunday, another working day is free.

Russian women are pampered or given attention by their husbands and children on this day. Entrepreneurs invite their female employees to breakfast on this day. If you don't want to give flowers, at least say congratulations on International Women's Day or invite your business partner or colleague for coffee or a meal. In this way, companies and families raise the potential of women and show their appreciation for the ladies.

For historical reasons, we at OCS naturally treat our female employees equally. This means we are on equal terms at all levels, just as our customers have appreciated for years.
