I think football is best when you can be happy for both teams! Although we at OCS don't all agree on today's qualifying game between the German national team and Poland, one thing is certain: everyone will be cheering no matter who wins today!
"You don't know any players from the Polish team, except Lewandowski," it said earlier when one of us came out as a fan. In fact, I personally know hardly any player from the Polish team. Błaszczykowski may still come to mind, but then it stops. But that is also clearly due to the lack of interest in this sport. Some football enthusiasts can probably still name names of Bundesliga professionals such as Piszczek or Peszko. According to Sport1, even 6 Bundesliga players are nominated for today's game. But does it really matter how many players someone knows from the team? There are so many different motifs as to why people watch football. One is total fan and always up to date with the current squad. Many only look at the games out of interest in sporting performance and others do it, because everyone else also watches football.
Let's leave the motifs aside and look at the table. So far, Poland has shone with a top performance and is therefore in place in the table, followed by Germany with one point behind. It is therefore important for the German team to perform well. The world champion does not want to be satisfied with second place. This gives hope for an exciting international game. In any case, the hearts beat for both teams. We are excited to see who will leave the place today and look forward to an exciting football evening.
