This year we were able to further expand our range of services and thank you for your trust

The German economy remained in solid shape and was able to continue its growth path. In addition to private consumption, the main growth drivers were brisk construction activity and increased government spending. Foreign economic development requires growth, as price-adjusted imports are increasing significantly more than exports compared to the previous year. Overall, however, Germany continues to export more than it imports.

An important trend and development topic in the logistics sector was climate protection. In order to achieve Germany's climate goals, almost all economic sectors must become greenhouse gas neutral by 2050 - including freight transport. Many of our customers therefore already attach great importance to “Green Logistics”.

We have all felt the effects of the Russia sanctions and the still weak ruble. These factors not only affect the German economy, but also other EU countries such as Finland, Greece, Poland, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Everyone reports significant losses in foreign trade with Russia. This situation is causing serious economic difficulties in some sectors. Finland fears the greatest losses in this context. Around 10 percent of Finnish exports are sent to Russia. Lithuania's meat and dairy industries are also closely linked to Russia. When it comes to fresh fruit, this particularly affects southern European countries.

We at OCS Spedition closely monitor economic developments and promptly adapt to changing market conditions, which means that we are constantly developing and expanding our sophisticated service portfolio. We have been using logistics platforms such as Transporeon for a long time for more efficient transport management. This allows us to guarantee our customers real-time documentation of their logistics order. Since May of this year we have also been offering global container logistics, by rail or ship. We have specifically hired specialists who have many years of experience in international container transport and can therefore provide you with perfect advice on the organization and processing of your orders.

Our employees face the challenges of our customers every day. Quality, flexibility and reliability are the top priority in their actions. In particular, the loyalty of our customers meant that we were able to grow and expand our range of services in 2017.

We would like to thank you very much for your trust and wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
