Our commitment to the environment and sustainability: Your transports make the difference
This year, we at OCS Spedition GmbH have set ourselves a special goal: to link sustainability and transport even more closely. As a company that organizes transport on a daily basis, we are aware that our industry bears a responsibility towards the environment. Therefore, we now want to give our customers the opportunity to actively contribute to environmental protection. From now on, our customers can offset the CO₂ emissions generated during transport and actively do something for our region.
Efficient transport – safe and reliable to and from Eastern Europe and Scandinavia
For most transport needs, we rely on trucks to deliver our customers' goods to their destinations on time and safely. Trucks offer the flexibility and reliability that are essential in today's transport business.
However, upon request, we are happy to explore alternative modes of transport, such as rail or ship, are suitable for your shipments. Particularly on routes where these alternatives are economically and time-wise advantageous, they can make a significant contribution to reducing emissions.
Two options for sustainable cooperation
We offer our customers two simple ways to make a positive contribution together with us:
- CO₂ compensation with ClimatePartner:
Thanks to our collaboration with ClimatePartner, we can precisely calculate CO₂ emissions generated by transport according to strict standards. This calculation is based on the distance traveled and is carried out according to scientifically sound standards such as DIN EN 16258. Our customers have the option of offsetting these emissions through vetted projects in developing and emerging countries. This makes every shipment climate-neutral and simultaneously contributes to supporting sustainable projects worldwide. - Regional reforestation with B-Native: For every new order we receive, we donate a tree as part of a project by the B-Native association. This local reforestation project aims to sustainably increase the forested area in our region. With only 5% forest cover currently available, our region is far below the German average of 30%. Together with B-Native, we want to improve this figure in the long term and give a piece of nature back to our home.
Our customers can either actively choose CO₂ compensation for their transport or simply know that with every order they automatically contribute to the regional reforestation project.
Invitation to the large tree planting event in November
A special highlight this year will be the large tree planting campaign in November. We would like to warmly invite all our customers and service providers to join us in this active project. The goal is to plant at least 5,000 trees in a large meadow.
The planting campaign is a fantastic opportunity to participate personally, make a direct contribution to reforestation, and become part of a project that will sustainably transform our region. Whether with the whole family, your team, or on your own – we welcome every helping hand!
