The ice-cold passion of OCS Spedition beats for the Black Tigers

Ice hockey is a fast-paced, high-energy sport. Within three 20-minute periods, each team must score as many goals as possible. Fast-paced plays and impressive one-on-one duels dominate these highly emotional games. This team sport leaves no spectator, whether in the arena or watching on TV, unmoved. Everyone wants to get involved, using body checks to push opponents aside or take them out of the way to gain possession of the puck.

Our employees Bernhard Braun and Wladimir Kuhlmann are not only specialists in heavy transport and import/export to Eastern Europe and Central Asia, but also true ice hockey pros. Their passion lies with the Bremen-based "Black Tigers" ice hockey team (www.black-tigers-bremen.de). Every Wednesday evening, they can hardly be kept in the office. Around 7:00 p.m., they swap their smartphones for hockey gear and skates. Together with their teammates, they send the puck flying across the ice at the "Paradice" ice rink, preparing for the next friendly match. They possess excellent positioning and take risks throughout the three phases of the game, constantly surprising their opponents. They rarely miss a scoring opportunity.

Skill and stamina, along with well-rehearsed plays, are essential for the fast-paced action and intense one-on-one battles. During a game, each team has only five skaters and one goalie on the ice at any given time. Player substitutions occur not only during stoppages but also during play. Before you know it, a player is back on the ice, grabbing the puck.

Ice hockey is a real challenge

A team must quickly adapt to its opponent and, if necessary, adjust its tactics to gain the upper hand. Sports have many parallels with the logistics business. We, too, constantly adapt to the current needs and wishes of our customers and optimize our workflow. Efficiency and speed are key characteristics of our operations. Therefore, not only do Bernhard Braun and Wladimir Kuhlmann play for the "Black Tigers," but we also support the team financially as sponsors.

If you're interested in ice hockey and would like to attend a training session, feel free to contact Bernhard Braun anytime. He manages the team and is looking forward to welcoming new players.
