OCS Spedition is the innovative logistics partner for shipments of all kinds to China

The People's Republic of China is the fourth largest country in the world by land area. In 2001, China reached a major milestone in its integration into the global economy with its long-negotiated accession to the WTO. Since then, the Chinese economy has gained momentum, increasing its gross domestic product fivefold in just twelve years. Investment conditions have also been comprehensively reformed. The country has successfully transitioned from being the world's factory for cheap mass-produced goods to a producer of some high-quality consumer and technological products.

For German companies, China, with its nearly 1.4 billion people, is a very important import and export market. Every year, we not only import goods worth over €100 billion from China (2017: +7.1% compared to the previous year), but also export motor vehicles and parts, machinery, data processing equipment, electronic and optical products, as well as rubber and plastic goods worth more than €86 billion (2017: +13.3% compared to the previous year).

Sea freight is one of the most reliable and cost-effective transport solutions for shipments to and from China, but it requires a delivery time of approximately four weeks. Many companies simply don't have that kind of time. Air freight is attractive due to its short transit times, but it is extremely expensive compared to sea freight. A more cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and even less time-consuming logistics solution is the "China train." Depending on the point of departure, the freight train takes about 14 days to cover the approximately 10,000 km route.

Our staff are thoroughly familiar with the various transport options to China and the country-specific requirements. After analyzing your order, we work with you to develop the optimal logistics solution for your goods and merchandise shipments, ensuring they arrive at their destination on time. We review your necessary documents – purchase agreement, shipping documents, power of attorney for the customs broker, commercial invoice – and assist you with their preparation or completion, if needed, to prevent any delays during import into China. Our specialists properly register your goods for cross-border transport in advance and submit the customs clearance application via the China e-Port system.

It is our philosophy that a single dispatcher is responsible for the successful execution of your shipment, from order acceptance and precise transport planning to delivery at the destination, and can provide you with information about the current status at any time. We want you to be able to concentrate on your export business and operate successfully in the Chinese market. We take care of all aspects of the transport process.
