Safety in all forms of transport is very important to us.
When you handle as many transports as we do, safety is paramount. Especially now, during the dark and icy winter months, we're paying extra attention to the safety of our vehicles and drivers. This includes, first and foremost, the safety of your goods. Your merchandise is secured against damage during every transport using our safety measures – and should something unexpected happen, you won't suffer any loss: We insure every transport with the renowned insurer Oskar Schunck AG & Co. KG.
Secondly, we ensure the safety of drivers. In most European countries, carrying a high-visibility vest that meets DIN standards is part of the basic equipment for safe travel. Since July 1, 2014, at least one high-visibility vest conforming to DIN EN 471:2003 + A1:2007 or EN ISO 20471:2013 has been mandatory in every motorized vehicle – except motorcycles. Failure to carry a high-visibility vest, or carrying one that does not meet the DIN standard, can result in a hefty fine during a traffic stop. The DIN standard regulates the function and appearance of a high-visibility vest, preventing, for example, the idea of printing high-visibility vests on T-shirts and using them as "high-visibility vests.".
If there are regularly more than two occupants in a vehicle, such as a taxi or bus, a correspondingly larger number of high-visibility vests should be carried in the vehicle. Whether these are actually worn is another matter; wearing a high-visibility vest is not mandatory – however, it is highly recommended in the event of a breakdown or traffic accident, especially during the darker months! People dressed in dark clothing are often seen very late – even with eagle eyes – and by then it is usually no longer possible to brake in time.

Incidentally, we recently embarked on a rather unusual "safety" mission: a truckload of condoms headed towards Moscow. Naturally, the cargo arrived safely and undamaged. Whether safety could be guaranteed in subsequent "transportation" was, of course, something we couldn't personally verify ;-). However, in the case of this extraordinary cargo, it's safe to say that safety in all "transportation" is of utmost importance to us.
