At the turn of the year, we bid farewell to Roland Lazzarini as he embarked on a new chapter in his life
On New Year's Eve, we not only celebrated the arrival of the new year but also bid farewell to our long-time employee, Roland Lazzarini, as he entered retirement. Few others know the freight forwarding business as well as he does. A trained freight forwarding agent, he gained his initial experience at companies including Paneuropa, Südkraft, and Kühne & Nagel before joining OCS Spedition GmbH, where he particularly focused on expanding the company's business in Eastern Europe. "Closer to markets and customers" was his philosophy. He took the necessary time to understand the individual needs and objectives of his clients in order to develop innovative logistics solutions that created added value. Reliability and meticulousness characterized his actions. We will greatly miss Roland Lazzarini's management expertise.
Gradual transition into retirement
To ease his transition into well-deserved retirement, he will be available every Wednesday for a while Dennis Braun and Thomas Nawrocki with their regular customers. This ensures the highest possible quality for customers during the transition period – whether it's container or heavy transport, express delivery, or special transport. Real-time tracking, extending to a fully digital logistics chain, is state-of-the-art – digital transformation has brought greater transparency and customization to the entire delivery process in recent years. Roland Lazzarini always kept costs and efficiency improvements in mind for his customers and could also provide information on the current location of their shipments.
Experienced logistics experts Dennis Braun and Thomas Nawrocki have in-depth knowledge of the processes and supply chains of trade and industry. Efficiency and speed are key characteristics of their business. "Impossible" is not in their vocabulary. Constant changes in economic structures pose a greater challenge to one sector than logistics. In recent weeks, they have expanded their service offerings for Chinese imports and exports through the economically attractive "China Train" service, as well as their logistics services to and from Great Britain, Ireland, and Estonia. They have also established a team of experts, led by Ralf Poppe, to handle imports and exports to Scandinavia.
Change brings new opportunities
Roland Lazzarini's clients are being placed in trustworthy hands so that he can dedicate more time to his family, mountain hiking, and classical art in the future.
We wish Roland Lazzarini continued success in his new phase of life, hoping he will climb many "peaks" and captivate people with his cheerfulness and openness.
